The last time I was in Europe was 1971 so a lot has changed especially the currency. Portugal uses the Euro. Right now one Euro is worth $1.58. Imagine my surprise as I go into a bank to exchange $400 US for Euros and get back 256.83. Needless to say I start to wonder what I am going to spend. Luckily the room only cost me $115. This is not the time to come over here with the dollar dropping like a brick.
