Day two looks to be the best day in Boston. At 7 AM it is already warmer than the day before. When we were walking yesterday we scoped out a place for breakfast. The Hotel breakfast costs a minimum of $35 for two so we can't eat there often. We found a quaint little deli called Pete's.

The palce is run by two Asian folks. I am going to assume they are Husband and wife. There are only six tables in this place but they have a menu that has at least 50 items for breakfast. It took a long time for our omelets to come but it was worth the wait. Two omelets, toast, home fries, bacon coffee and tea were only $12.50. We finish there and head for the Old Town Trolley stop down by the Aquarium. We planned to start our day on Newbury street sifting through a few thrift shops. Doreen was a bit disappointed when we got there because two of the stores were no longer there. I checked the date of the book we got from our daughter Stacie and found it to be seven years old. Most of the shops on Newbury were upscale boutiques. We did find the last remaining thrift shop that said their items were "Delicatly Priced". I am not sure what they meant by that. I found a pair of slip on Adidas that were priced at $88. That is delicate enough for me.
Boston must have a church every few blocks

I saw this odd work on one of the steeples that we passed

The work on it is something. Without a guide I have no idea of the age but I am going to assume it is 18th century since most of the churches we passed were built about that time.
We make it to the next trolley stop and saw this odd vehicle across the street.

These things are called Ducks. They have them in Philly as well. They take you on a tour of the city as well as the Harbor. The starting point is a bit far to walk so we may not get to go on them. As our trolley pulls away we try and decide what to do next. We decide to ride around to another stop but the traffic is so bad even for a Saturday that the 20 Minute ride takes almost two hours.

So we just take the entire tour to finish our day. We pass an odd Starbucks

We finally get to the end of the line and make the trek back to the hotel to rest before dinner. We are going to eat at a place called Legal Seafood

I figured if we went to dinner around 7:30 PM we would beet the rush. I was sadly mistaken. We get there at 7:45PM and have an hour and a half wait. So we tried to get a seat at the bar but that was a bit tough. Everytime we would get near the bar someone would jump in front. So Doreen saw this couple leaving the bar and hopped in the seat. As I was coming over another women tried to grab the seat next to Doreen. Well Doreen told her that it was taken but with a stare that would have frozen fire. The woman just backed off. So we sat at the bar and had a great Crab Dip appetizer. After an hour and 10 minutes we were still there and a group from Arkansas that we struck up a conversation saw their beeper go off before ours. Well the young girl went storming off and as they were seated ours went off. It seems that they had only been there about a half hour and she went off on the hostess. I didn't mond the wait because it was pouring rain outside. I had surf and turf (Filet Mignon and a 1.5 pound lobster stuffed with scallops and shrimp. Doreen had a crab cake combo. We finished with a great dessert of Apple crisp and Doreen had Bon Bons. The rain had stopped so we thought we were okay. But my bad luck holds out and the skies open. We have five blocks to walk and they were the wettest blocks ever. Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy in the morning but we will never go out again without our umbrellas. Stay tuned for tomorrows trip to the Aquarium and Little Italy
