It is Clinic Time February 10, 2003Football season is over. The Pro Bowl Game has been played, your Team Banquet was held and your budget has been submitted. This is the time of the year to attend a Clinic. A coach that doesn't look for new stuff will become complacent and stale. I think that you are never too old or have been in the profession long enough that you can't learn something. All of the clinics I have attended I find other College Coaches sitting in on the sessions. If these guys at the College level are at the clinic than I think a High School and Youth Coach should be at the clinic. I guess it is me. My wife calls me the eternal student. That fits me to a "T". I have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge especially Football knowledge. When you are with your team each day you have to keep it fresh, change things. Any change, no matter how subtle, adds diversity and excitemnt to your Game. What do you guys think? Why don't more Youth Coaches attend Coaching clinics? Give me your view on this at |
