* BELGIAN FARMHOUSE ALE FLYING
Since this is our first summer in existence, we wanted to make our first
summer beer a great one. Our farmhouse ale is a tribute to the local beers
made in the French speaking part of Belgium and is a highly drinkable
summer treat--no fruit, herbs, spices, honey, hemp, polyester, or anything
else even remotely trendy--just Belgian pale malt, some U.S. wheat, a
little sour mash to give a quenching character and imported Czech hops.
It seems to be catching on--we're already fermenting our third 80-keg
batch. Just a few of the places you can try it are: New Jersey--PJ
Whelihan's and Krysti's (Westmont); Kaminski's (Cherry Hill); Old Bay (New
Brunswick); Krogh's (Sparta); Katie O'Brien's (Cape May). In Penna., find
it at North Star Bar, McGillan's, PJ McMennimins, Khyber Pass, Dawson
Street (Philadelphia); Cunningham's Court (Conshohocken); PJ Whelihan's,
McGillicudy's (Allentown); The Farmhouse (Emmaus).
