* FISH FACTS AFTER 15 MONTHS

First off, best wishes to everyone for a healthy and productive 1998.
Everyone here at the brewery is starting to catch their breath after the
holiday rush, though there's not much of a let up in orders for Flying Fish
beers. Of course, there are worse problems to have!

In looking back over our first 15 months of production, our cracked staff
of statisticians here at World Headquarters pulled together these
interesting factoids:

--Beer brewed: 100,620 gallons

--Barley malt used: 272,250 pounds

--Hops used: 1,612 pounds

--Material recycled: all barley and hops go to local farmers for cattle
feed; plus several tons of assorted glass, paper, steel, aluminum, plastic,
and wood pallets--basically, everything but shrink wrap

--Number of Canada Geese hanging out behind the brewery looking for free
grain: 2 to start, then skyrocketing to a record 27

--Pounds of goose droppings in the park behind the brewery before we
stopped feeding the geese: see "Barley malt used" (above)

 * VARIETY CASES STILL GOING STRONG

Can't decide which is your favorite Flying Fish beer or which one to try
first? Well, in New Jersey and Pennsylvania you can try 'em all in our
Variety Case. Get a sextet of each style, including the elusive Belgian
Dubbel, bottle-conditioned porter, ESB, and Extra Pale Ale. If your local
store doesn't have it, ask them to get it.

These Variety Packs will be available for another month or so, maybe more
if we can figure out a less time-consuming way to repack all those cases!

* FLYING FISH AT WORLD'S BIGGEST SUPERBOWL PARTY

Folks headed to Orlando, FL later this month for Lotus Development's
Lotusphere, will be able to enjoy Flying Fish Extra Pale Ale and ESB during
what is billed as the world's largest SuperBowl tailgate party. Attendance
is expected to be about 10,000. But even if you're having a somewhat
smaller party at home, don't forget the Fish!

* WINTER WONDER FEST ARTS BENEFIT

The day before the SuperBowl, come try the best winter-style beers from the
best New Jersey breweries at the Princeton Winter Wonder Fest Arts Benefit.
Held at Triumph Brewing, $15 will get you a good feeling from all those
hearty winter beers and for helping support the Princeton Arts Council.

*CASK-CONDITIONED: BELGIAN DUBBEL AND A BLACKFISH

We may be the first to have produced a cask-conditioned Belgian Dubbel.
What's it taste like? Well, we haven't tried it yet either, but our guess
is "pretty darn good." There are only three casks out there so far--one at
Andy's Corner in Bogota, NJ and the other two are headed to bars in
Philadelphia. We also learned about a couple of bars in Virginia blending
our Extra Pale Ale with the Porter and creating a "Blackfish." But of
course! We've just done up some casks of these and you can find them at
the usual places, including: Andy's Corner in Bogota, NJ and The Old Bay
in New Brunswick, NJ; Dawson Street Pub, PJ McMennimins, COPA Too!,
Bridgid's and London in Philadelphia; and Gullifty's in Ardmore, PA.
